So, what is Lammie Drive 2? Simply, it is to raise as much money for Breast and Prostate Cancer Research at St Vincents Hospital, in Sydney, who have approved me as a fund raiser, under NSW fun raising rules and regulations.
 
Lammie Drive 2 came about after having finished the previous ride, in 2009, which was a 2 week 4700km ride from Sydney to Perth on a 1964 Lambretta TV 175 Series 2 Winter Model. I was wondering what I could do next. I wanted to raise more than $7500 I managed to achieve last time. I had to do something that would really grab attention. So, in 2013, it is a 3 week, 5200km, ride on a Replica 1959 Scottish 6 Days Trial Lambretta from Cape York, the most northerly point of mainland Australia, to Wilsons Promontory, the most Southerly Point... and just to make it especially hard, the first 800km are on dirt track, which isn't even open all year around.
 
This time, we seem to have gathered enough interest that we have about 30 people from Australia, Italy and the United States doing the ride, and some of them will be raising money for charity in their own countries. I will be opening sections to other riders if you wish to join in. Anyone is welcome to join us, but I will need notification if you need overnight accommodation organised.
 
Specifically why I’m raising money for St Vincents and Mater Health is that in November 2007 I was a patient at St Vincents after an oncoming car pulled a u-turn right in front of me. I came out of that with a damaged shoulder and a fractured skull, and  I was wearing a helmet. I still suffer from the accident to this day. As for Cancer research? I’ve lost a few friends due to cancer. Specifically Kirsty Rae, and Peter Wherrett, whom I knew as Pip. This site is dedicated to both of my friends, and anyone else who is suffering from cancer. Whilst the chances of cure are much better than they used to be, people still die, and I wish to do my bit to reduce that death rate even further. So, please give generously.
 
I00% of the money you donate will be given to cancer research, and split 50/50 between Breast and Prostate Cancer Research.

No expenses will be taken out of the money you donate, they will all be covered by myself and my sponsors.
 
I’m accepting two kinds of donations

:: An outright donation for just making the attempt, or
:: A sponsorship per 100km’s
 
If you provide a donation above $2 and you require a tax receipt, please let me know and I will arrange it for you. Please note, you can only get that when I pass the money to St Vincents in 2013.
